This homecoming is designed to honor our legacy, strengthen our community, and foster meaningful engagement between alumni, students, and faculty. December 2 to 6, 2026, UI International Conference Centre, Ibadan.
Executive summary: the case for coming home
Since 1958, the Department of Economics at the University of Ibadan has shaped generations of economists, policymakers, public servants, founders, and institutional leaders. Homecoming 2026 brings that network back to Ibadan for five days of reunion, service, giving, mentoring, celebration, and renewed commitment to the department.
Theme for the year: Making Meaningful Connections while Preserving Institutional Legacy and Reputation - 1958 to 2026. Watchwords: reconnect, reflect, reignite, celebrate.
